It is the responsibility of property owners and managers to ensure their fire safety and emergency systems are compliant to relevant Work Health & Safety under AS3745-2010: Planning for Emergencies in Facilities.
Part of this requirement includes having an up to date Emergency Plan.

Site visit to assess your risk
Listing of your site/facility’s fire protection equipment
Detailed emergency response procedures

All of our Trainers are passionate, qualified and experienced Fire Safety Officers holding current TAE40166 Training & Assessment and QFES Fire Safety Advisor accreditations.

Chief Wardens are crucial to the efficient evacuation of your building and the safety of all your staff. They are the main point of contact in the event of an emergency.
We will ensure your Chief Warden is trained to lead in the event of an emergency. Has the knowledge and skills to co-ordinate building evacuation with Area Wardens, have a clear understanding of their responsibilities and be able to liaise effectively with emergency services.
Training Skills include:
Understanding priorities during an emergency
Reporting the emergency
Liaising with other Wardens
Use of fire detection and EWIS panel

Face to face training delivery covers all aspects of the Emergency Plan for outlining the roles of the ECO through to First Responder emergency guidelines and evacuation procedures.
Our Trainers engage with your staff to gain the knowledge and be equipped with the skills of how to safely evacuate the building in the case of an emergency.

It is a requirement under the Australian Standards AS 3745 – 2010: Planning for emergencies in facilities, that an Emergency Control Operation (ECO) be established to oversee the implementation of the Emergency Management Plan.
GMT’s training will provide your ECO with the competency and confidence to carry out these duties in the case of an emergency as outlined in the Emergency Management Plan.
The ECO is made up of specifically trained Wardens ready to respond to whatever emergency may arise.
GMT can tailor specific emergency training content around each facility’s risk profile.

Emergency Evacuation Diagrams

Our Emergency Evacuation Diagrams are designed to inform occupants / staff the safest and most direct exit out of the premises during an emergency.
Clear & concise graphics designed to be easily read in an emergency. Showing paths of egress, fire protection equipment on site and site Assembly Area.

If possible, we request a copy of your building’s floorplan. If floorplans are not available drafting services can be arranged.
A site visit is scheduled to notate all fire protection equipment with paths of egress and Assembly Area
Draft diagrams showing your company logo will be sent for approval before installation
All Evacuation Diagrams are designed in house ensuring your Diagrams meet Australian Standards
Diagrams are A3 in size with various options for display including A3 brushed aluminium frames, lamination including outdoor weatherproof options.
First Fire Attack Training

Staff are trained in a ‘real life’ experience in learning how to put out a small workplace fire with an extinguisher.
Staff will have the knowledge to assess the situation and skills to put out a small workplace fire before it gets out of control.

Theory based training followed up with a practical session where each attendee will use our safety accredited portable fire equipment
Every attendee will receive a Certificate of Completion in competency of “Emergency Procedures First Fire Attack Training - Practical use of a Fire Extinguisher” in accordance with the Australian Standards AS3745-2010.
